A reaction in a system containing two @M03940@ phases, $$\alpha\mathit{'}$$ and $$\alpha\mathit{''}$$ in which $$\alpha\mathit{'}$$ decomposes into $$\alpha\mathit{''}$$ and a new phase $$\beta$$: $\alpha\mathit{'}\rightleftharpoons \alpha\mathit{''}+\beta$
